A little about me

Hi, I’m Dani! I’m a queer, trans, nonbinary, neurodivergent (AuDHD), and disabled photographer. Aside from photography, my interests include psychology, music, piercings, tattoos, and animals.
As someone who tends to live in their head a lot, photography has been a great way to focus on my surroundings and look for the beauty in the world around me. Most of the photography I do on my own is macro photography, which is extreme closeups of small subjects. I like to capture little details and get a closer look at the tiny beings in our world. It’s like an active form of mindfulness! Through photography, I have found a new appreciation for things I once ignored or even disliked. It truly fills me with joy.
Along with macros, I’d love to shoot more portraits! They’re very different from each other, but I think I like them for similar reasons. While shooting macros captures small things that may go unnoticed or unseen, portraits can showcase people who are frequently underrepresented in media. I’d love to do shoots with queer, trans, disabled people, and people of colour. I’d also love to showcase people with body modifications, like piercings and tattoos.
